Hi
I hope this gets to Trish, who I understand is Marc's wife/friend/ partner and likely all of these.
I wish I had as moving a story as the one I just read about the Manitoba Theatre Centre. All I can share with you is this. I too was "made in 1962" as your email address suggests of Marc. :)
I grew up with Marc during our highschool years and knew him just as he was getting into the music and arts scene. I was a basketball player and "jock" so to speak and although Marc had some of those skills, he gravitated to music. I remember his older brother Mike and sister Fran. Both always so amiable to Marc's younger friends.
Marc became student president of our high school and was very likeable and popular. What I remember most was how impressed I was when he played guitar and sang in front of the school. I liked him and really looked up to his obvious talent. I was a jock but his talent impressed me deeply.
The last time I saw Marc was at his first wedding, when he and Danielle were so young.
I stumbled upon his image and bio (online) a few years back and was so proud that he was accomplished and well know in the arts world.
Im not sure why I'm writing you this other than to tell you, his memory brings a smile to my heart, brings me back to a simpler time and that I was proud to have known him. Life is busy, we all have a hundred things to do, but I want you to know, i stopped and reflected, stopped and remembered, stopped and thought of you and all those who knew him best, and shared your loss.
I hope that you find solace and comfort in all things that Marc left behind
With fond memory and deepest sympathy
Dave Bilodeau
